According to Parks Canada, June in Banff has the most hours of daylight; however, it also has the highest average rainfall.

What NOT to Pack
Overpacking is one of the most common mistakes couples make. Here’s what you can usually leave at home:
Hair Dryers & Styling Tools
Hotels provide them, and professional hair and makeup is already included in our packages.
Your Entire Makeup Collection
Professional makeup for one person is included in our packages, so there’s no need to pack every palette, brush, and beauty product you own. We recommend bringing a few touch-up essentials, like lipstick, powder, or anything you regularly use throughout the day, but you can safely leave the rest at home.
Excessive Wedding Décor
The mountains are your backdrop, so very little décor is needed. Our elopements are simple standing ceremonies in nature (no chairs, arches, or signing tables), and our micro-weddings include ceremony and reception décor.
Too Many Formal Outfits
You’ll likely spend most of your time exploring, hiking, dining, and relaxing. While you might want to bring one nice outfit if you’re planning on getting reservations at a fine dining establishment, for the most part, you’ll get far more use out of comfortable layers.
Bear Spray
You can’t fly with it. If you’re planning on hiking, simply purchase or rent it once you get here.
“Just in Case” Shoes
